Is there a part of you that wishes your childhood had been different? Is there a place within you that is still longing to be loved differently than the way your Mom loved you? Do you want to be able to calm that place in your heart that still feels hurt by something your Mom did to you or maybe didn’t do for you?

It is hard to feel these feelings on any day, but it is especially hard to feel these feelings today on Mother’s Day. We often feel guilty having anything but love for our mamas on this day but the truth of the matter is that your mom was a human too. It is often the moment of maturity when you begin to see your mom as a human and not a supermom.

There may be parts of you that wishes she had done more of this.. and less of that…

What if…she was never meant to do them at all for you? What if, all along, you were supposed to learn how to mother yourself? What if the Universe had intended for you to learn how to heal your own longing?

All of us have wounds from our childhood to heal and it doesn’t require our Mom to heal them.

Join me in today’s meditation as we empower ourselves to heal the places in our hearts that our Moms’ blessed us with by leaving them open for us to do our own work. We will heal our hearts together and thank our Moms because without this opening they left, we would never have learned how to heal our own hearts.
